Based on yelp reviews I came in for the first time for a Pedi. Tam greeted & welcomed me as I walked in, selected my polish and was immediately seated in the massage chair. I appreciated the quiet, relaxing environment and the employees focused on their customer instead of chattering to each other. Best of all the salon did not smell of the typical "nail salon fumes". I will definitely come again.

This review is for my second time here. I was so excited to come back and try this place one more time. I was hoping that I would be able to get my nails done with Tam again but she was with another customer. So I sat down with the older lady and I as I was trying to explain what I wanted to be done to my nails, I know she didn't understand me. I noticed that my nails were crooked and that she was trying to do some really square shape with my nails. I wasn't happy so I asked if she could fix it but she just kept filing and they weren't getting any better. At this point I was just beyond annoyed and couldn't finish my manicure. She kept saying that I had no nail left and that's because she just kept filing them off! I paid for the work that she had done even though I shouldn't have, but I wasn't about to cause a scene. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here.

Good environment. I definitely recommend. This is the first salon I have felt welcome at. She talked to me in comprehendible English the entire time and was super friendly and funny. My nails looks great and she took her time to make them nice. Very happy with this place! Plus the 20% off for students is awesome.

Pam the owner was very nice. I didn't get her at this appt but I think I will request her as she thanked me for trying her salon. I had the older lady who was nice but I can't say she did a five star job. Overall I will definitely recommend. And think they are all very nice.

Tam at VIP Nails is fabulous, and she has a great team. I'm quite picky, particularly about cleanliness, and I always have a fabulous experience--my no-chip manicures last weeks! They're friendly and I always recommend them to family and friends--who now also love VIP Nails.

I am not one to get a mani/pedi more than once or twice a year, so I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to these things. However, in preparation for a beach vacation I decided to get a manicure and pedicure. I looked a bit on yelp for recommendations, but it's not used much in this area. I ended up resorting to a location of convenience and figured that a place on Riverside would probably be clean and safe.On a Friday afternoon, I had no wait and the lady that helped me was very kind. Unfortunately, it went downhill quickly from there. During my pedicure she used a pumice stone not only on the bottom of my feet, but also on my legs and ankles. The scrapes that resulted didn't feel too great in the ocean the next day. Two and a half weeks later, the scabs are still there. The polish options were fairly limited, but I did find something acceptable. Unfortunately, it was extremely thick. It should've been thinned out or tossed a long time ago. It was so thick that she couldn't get a good coat on my fingernails, so I chose another color. That one was too thick also. Suddenly a third option appeared. That was too thick also. At this point I had been there for two hours and just wanted to leave so we went with that color. The coat was so thick that I continued to get new indentations on the polish the next morning.Like I said, the lady was very nice and apologetic. Unfortunately, they seem to be too cheap to keep polishes in good condition. The visit was far from relaxing and caused more anxiety than anything else. It definitely was not worth the trip or the money.
